Solána Imani Rowe, known professionally as SZA, is an American singer and songwriter. Rowe was born in St. Louis, Missouri but raised in Maplewood, New Jersey. She released her self-released debut EP, See.SZA.Run in October 2012.
In April 2013, SZA released her S EP to good critical reviews— in July of that same year, it was announced she was signed to Top Dawg Entertainment and began working on her Z EP, which would eventually become a full-fledged album.
“Snooze” features SZA trying to be in the moment with a significant other. In the bridge, SZA is longing to be loved by this person, and be their number one. The love song was released as the eighth track on SZA’s sophomore album, SOS, on December 9, 2022.
“Snooze” debuted at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the chart week ending of December 24, 2022.
SZA posted a snippet of this track in October of 2021 and was given the title “Main One” by fans.
